Biffy Clyro rumours
According to The Sun "Biffy Clyro will perform at Glastonbury. They have been lined up as surprise performers on Saturday. The lads will perform as special guests of organiser Emily Eavis on the Park Stage, from around 6.30pm...."

Three brand spankin new late night areas announced
They include..Block9, The Common and The Unfair Ground. One area in Block 9 is called the London Underground, which boasts a blazing tube train bursting from a decaying tower block



Gorillaz anounced as new Friday Headliners!
Speculation was growing after the news that U2 have had to pull out due to an injury to Bono's back, and now Glastonbury festival have announced via their website today that Gorillaz will take the headline spot on the Pyrimid stage.

U2 pull out of this year's festival
A heartbroken Bono said they were extremely sorry that they wouldn't be appearing at this years festival. U2 have had to cancel due to a back injury that Bono sustained last week and on the advice of his doctor been told not to perform.

"I'm heartbroken. We really wanted to be there to do something really special - we even wrote a song especially for the Festival." Bono said.

Michael Eavis said in a quuote from the official Glastonbury website "It was obvious from our telephone conversation that U2 are hugely disappointed. Clearly, they were looking forward to playing the Pyramid Stage as much as we were looking forward to watching them. At this point, we have no comment to make about possible replacements for U2's Friday night slot. Instead, we would simply like to send Bono our very best wishes for a full and speedy recovery."

I wonder how many festival goers bought tickets on the strength of U2 appearing this year?


Last few tickets sold
The last few tickets for this year's Glastonbury sold out this Sunday, The resale tickets were snapped up in just 15 minutes! That's it folks, according to the offical Glastonbury Festival site, "Thanks to everyone who bought one and sorry to those who missed out. There are no further sales planned for this year's Festival."

No flags down the front this year
According to an Emily Eavis tweet, flags and banners will not be allowed in the front section of the Pyramid stage. It will be interesti"ng to see how they will police it and what happens if I turn up with my 'monkey on a stick!?'

Glasto tickets dispatch
Tickets for this years Glastonbury festival will be sent out, with personalised photos 7-10 days before the festival, according to the See Tickets website
